Promoting use of computer in electronics design

A total of 14 participants comprising instructors and lecturers from MTSSR, ITB, MKJB and SVNR completed a two-day workshop entitled 'Workshop On Sequential Circuit Design Using Multisim'.
 
The workshop, held from July 20 to 21, was organised by the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering of Maktab Teknik Sultan Saiful Rijal in collaboration with the Department of Computing & Information Technology (CIT).

Dato Paduka Hj Mohd. Alimin bin Hj Abd. Wahab, the Director of Amalgamated Electronics Sdn. Bhd., the main distributor for Farnell In One, Fluke, Lab-Volt and Kyoritsu Sanwa, was the guest of honour at the certificate presentation ceremony.

The objectives of the workshop were to promote the use of computer in electronics design and to encourage the use of electronics design software and the sharing of knowledge.

The facilitators of the workshop were Hj Aftab Hassan and Vivi Jafiana Dato Paduka Hj Ja'afar.

A representative of the participants, Hj Morsidi bin Hj Kassim, commented that the workshop was very beneficial to lecturers or instructors in the teaching of electronics and circuit design as well as project development.

The Acting Principal of Maktab Teknik Sultan Saiful Rizal, Pg Hj Suhaimi bin Pg Hj Bakar in his closing speech emphasised the importance of updating knowledge in the use of electronic software in teaching electronics related subjects.

He expressed his appreciation to Amalgamated Electronics Sdn. Bhd and the organising committee for their contribution in making the workshop a success. The event drew to a close after the guest of honour presented certificates to the workshop participants.
