The Brunei ICT Award (BICTA) is a component of
Asia Pacific ICT Award (APICTA ) whose vision is
to widen the influence of ICT industry in Asia
region.
The main objective of BICTA is to stimulate
innovation and creativity in ICT industry
amongst individual and associations including
SME; to be the benchmark for local company to
compete amongst each other and to be nominated
in the annually held APICTA.
The Brunei ICT Award (BICTA) selection will
begin in mid October 2005. All entries will be
given an opportunity to showcase their products
at the BICTA Expo that is tentatively scheduled
from 27th-30th October. The events will
culminate at the Gala Night (the date will be
announced soon) when the awards will be
presented to the winners.
The main aims of BICTA are: |

stimulate innovation and creativity in ICT
industry amongst individual and organisations
particularly the SMEs; |

to
provide benchmarks for the development of the
local ICT products and solutions; and |
|
|
3. |
to
nominate local participants for the
international competition called the APICTA
(Asia Pacific ICT Awards). |
